Celebrating the 2020 Taste Canada Award Winners

A champion of Canadian cookbook authors, Taste Canada is a national not-for-profit that aims to inspire readers to discover delicious recipes and diverse food stories written from a Canadian perspective.

Over the past 22 years, Taste Canada Awards has honoured hundreds of Canadian-authored books and blogs that have covered an array of topics related to food in both official languages: Canada’s culinary history, culinary narratives, regional and local food stories, seasonal foods and single ingredients, food trends at home and abroad, healthy food and nutrition, and everyday recipes for families.

Last year, MENU Mag had the pleasure of attending the awards in-person to see amazing Canadian talent like Chef Rod Butters, Aimee Wimbush-Bourque, and Renée Kohlman take home the Gold and Silver awards. This year, as with most other events, the Taste Canada Awards were moved virtually.

Check out a recording of the 2020 Taste Canada Virtual Awards ceremony below:

Though we could not meet in-person, we still felt connected through the celebration of Canadian food, restaurants, and talent and we want to take this time to congratulate all the nominees and winners this year!
